PhD Student · University of Utah · HCI & Education with AI
I'm a PhD student in the Kahlert School of Computing at the University of Utah. My research examines how design instructors make sense of GenAI, the roles they envision for it in the classroom, and the tensions that emerge as GenAI tools become embedded in design workflows. Using mixed-methods approaches, I study how instructors' expectations of GenAI translates into classroom practices.
I’m interested in how people make sense of new technologies, how institutions respond to technological change, and how we can design learning environments that remain human-centered in an AI-mediated world.
Outside of research, I enjoy hiking, watching anime, gaming, and of course, binging on cat videos. 🐾
I also dabble in amateur photography — mostly for fun!
